Cor, all these existing members 'sneaking in under the radar'! Seriously though Dylan, is great to have you as a member and contributor. Grandads and Dads have a lot to answer for in my opinion. Brainwashing us into becoming sad anoraks, ahem, enthusiasts. ;-)

Haha yes definitely - I don't think many 7 year olds know what an Air Berlin B738 is like - very fond memories of seeing them over the house in Eastleigh and screaming out "Berlin 73"... Don't think I've seen many since either!!

Hi everyone. My name is Chris, and I'm resident on the wonderful Isle of Wight. Some of you may know me from the "Aviation For All" site and the former Farnborough site. Hope to contribute to the site in some small way and not tread on anyone's toes. I'm very keen on the BN2 Islander for obvious reasons and interested in any sightings, rumours or gossip that is affiliated with this iconic British success story. In the mean time, if anyone has not seen any of my pics on Flickr, then here is a link, www.flickr.com/photos/christoffiw/albums some or most of you may have seen them before but it's always worth a look. Many Thanks for having me here Chris.

Hello
I have been posting guest updates from time to time for a few months now. I am a regular at Farnborough living very close by. This is a fantastic site with superb updates from all who post. Having been a spotter for 20 plus years now my main passion is for bizz and airliners hence being a frequent visitor to Farnborough .
I have already met many members on my travels around Farnborough so keep posting we are a great community
Regards
Marcus

Hello to everyone. My name is Graham & I live in Shropshire. I have been spotting since the late 60's and have worked in the aviation industry since the mid 70's. I am interested in all that flies and do a lot of photography. I am also on the AFA group as well, where some will know me from. I get to the London area occasionally so will post what I can.

Hi Graham
Thank you joining. Although our forum is primarily Farnborough-centric (beats eccentric, I guess?!), we do try to cover quite a few other 'bases', both locally and more generally. Therefore, any input you feel able to provide from Shropshire, or elsewhere, would be most welcome.
Happy enthusiasting
Andy

Hi Andy, Unfortunately we can't keep our Mossies, we build them then flog them off. Ringway

Hi
I'm Dave Campion, I live local and mostly get down to EGLF at weekends often on my bike, apparently the exercise is meant to do you good.
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm Adi Howson,
Have been spotting longer than I can remember, about 48 years!
Main interest is biz, but will log all, I guess i'm a frame spotter at the end of the day.
Have been spotting at EGLF, also, for many years.
I live in Tilehurst, so good place for EGLF arrivals from the north.

Jeez Adi
You've been spotting as long as I've been on the planet. You must have seen a few frames / reggies in that time.
Sadly, I've lost count of the frames I've seen. I seem to recall it was somewhere around 50,000 give or take 10 or 20 thousand. Note to self: must work 25/8 to get my stats up to date. Digitising my old logs would be a start.
As reporter from the Guardian once asked me at around the time of the Greek spotters incident, 'What does seeing so many aircraft mean to you?' Tongue firmly in cheek, I replied, 'It means that I have seen quite a few aircraft.'
Happy spotting
Andy ✈
