Hi folks my name is Paul Chandler. I am from Winchester so my local airfield is Popham and visit there regularly. Been spotting since 1980 with a cycle ride to Eastleigh airport with a mate and have been hooked ever since. I try to visit Farnborough most weekends especially when on easterlies and take photos from Elmoor bridge. Off to Oshkosh in a couple of weeks which is something i am looking forward to very much. Anyone with an interest in aviation so go there at least once as there is nothing like it anywhere else.

Hello my name is Andy. I move to my current house in Mtychett 8 years ago, originally living in Brookwood. I’m not a spotter or photographer, but definitely an enthusiast!
My first love is military aircraft, but enjoy watching anything different or interesting.
Go to fair few air shows, and visit Farnborough and Blackbushe often. On my way home from work I pass Fairoaks so I always have a quick look.
I nearly forgot, occupation! Well, I make things from steel!

Hi,
I'm James O'Connor who lives in Bracknell. I'm a member on the FArnborough Spotters group as well as other aviation related groups. I've been a member on one of the guises of this site for some time and have posted numerous images from the past couple of shows.
I'd like to thank the team for the very useful information that they post for all arrivals/validation times.

Welcome to our new members.
I hope you find the group useful. We try to keep up date with all things aviation related, with an obvious emphasis on Farnborough and the local fields in the area.
Nevertheless, we welcome contributions from near and far. 'The more the merrier' is possibly a good motto for the group.
Obviously, in the run up to and during the biannual airshow, we like to keep up to speed with events.
Happy enthusing.
Andy H

Hi I'm Chris, spotter for about five years and living near Gatwick. Previously a spotter during the 1960s and again in the 1980s. Think my total for my first bout was about 5000, now I only do airliners and am close to 10,000.

Simply register to become a member. We haven't got a huge number of qualification criteria - a passing interest in aviation will do. It's as simple as that really. Regards Andy

Hi my name is Jon Newell and I've been spotting since 1972. I've been a postie for about 30 years so get to see quite a few overflights. Live in Twickenham so Farnborough is(or should be) a regular airfield I visit. Thanks for letting me be a member and hopefully I can contribute to anyone's requests..

hi,
my name is andy and i have been a plane spotter since about 1982, used to love the airliners, but now i mainly focus on the biz and the private airliners. i am currently in the process of moving from london to farnborough as London is getting too much.
i am looking for a flatshare where i can watch the arrivals (and maybe departures) so if anyone knows any rooms for rent with a good view of the arrivals for the woking end, i would like to know about it.
would also like to meet up with sbs users and other plane spotters, perhaps in the Swan for a beer in the evening, if anyone fancies a drink with me, please message me.

Hi, I'm Luke Brown, I live in Crondall, Farnham and work in Farnborough. I am 22 years old and have only recently moved into the area with my partner and 2-week old baby. Was previously located in Stratford-upon-avon, Warwickshire.
As I have left family and friends behind, I found myself rather bored so I have taken this up as a hobby.
-Luke.

Hi All
I'm Simon Brooke. I live in Dunfermline but, being retired, spend several weeks each year south of Hadrian's wall. I share a house with Mike Kell and our normal resting place in the London area is the Travelodge Heathrow Terminal 5. From here we have immediate access to the London car park - sorry, the M25 - and can be at Eelmoor bridge within half-an-hour or so. From the hotel, we can see all LHR movements and - if it's clear enough, FAB inbounds passing to the north of LHR. We can also get some nice landing (09L) and departure (27R) photographs from the top floor of the hotel's car park.
I spent much of my working life in civil aviation, including 7 years with Air Atlantique during which I occasionally operated as a loadie on the DC3, DC6 and Bristol Freighter. My two favourite trips with them were on G-APSA to Baghdad (before the wars) and on G-AMCA to Greybull, Wyoming. Aaah - transatlantic in a Dakota - no jetlag :-)
Now my time is my own (and being somewhat disabled, and unable to fly) I potter around my local airport - Edinburgh - but try to get around to other airports as much as I can. We usually do one or two trips to Europe a year, plus several trips down south to tie in with airshows or GA fly-ins.
Like many of you, I put my pics up on Flickr:
Thanks to you all for the Farnborough movements - it makes it so much easier for us foreigners to work out what we're seeing....
Yours aye Simon
