Copy of email from Plane Watch Coordinator
Dear Members
I have been contacted again on a number of occasions by the management at Universal Aviation, informing me that despite their efforts to erect fencing and signage, there are some aviation enthusiasts who are still entering their private car park to view aircraft.
Whilst I would like to say that Plane Watch members are not responsible, I know that I have had to speak with a handful of members who despite my previous messages, have still accessed the car park.
Some people are also entering the building and using the facilities without permission. I have even had occasions where those who have been challenged by Universal staff, have become abusive. This is clearly not acceptable.
Whilst I know that our members would not push the limits like this, there are clearly those outside of our scheme who will.
These people are not easy to reach, and are causing issues which will affect those of us who adhere to the rules.
I would like to ask if anyone is a member of another forum, or group to kindly copy and paste this message and spread the word.
Universal Aviation is a private business and as such their land is NOT accessible to anyone other than for official business. The management at Universal are fully supportive of the hobby and are happy to see people across the business park, but NOT in their car park please.
Police patrols around the business park may be increased. People found within restricted access areas may find themselves subjected to airport bans or further, so please think about what you are doing and where you are.
Should anyone inside or outside of Plane Watch wish to discuss this with me further, please contact me on the details below.
Thanks in advance
Richard.
