I tried to view the F35 displays from the Pegasus enclosure but found all areas of the Fleet Road that led to 'I' gate / Eelmore bridge cordoned off. so had to view from the industrial estate after circumnavigating FAB airfield & a tour of Fleet & Crookham. Please can anyone tell me what the score is as, at present, it seems like I cannot make use of the facilities set aside for Pegasus members.

Pegasus area is working fine. Enter via usual gate, you must access from Church Crookham direction (left turn in only) as no right turn into the bridge access. Just show your Pegasus membership card, hi viz jacket required of course. The area is further in the car park this year. Much better for photos too. The stewards will direct you on your first visit this year. The taped off area is also much bigger for more members to use. I went for the first time on Monday, no problems getting in or finding the area once pointed in the right direction.
The usual friendly faces are there from 7a.m.
Hope this helps.
Regards Martin

The possible problem is the access under the threshold is marked as being closed as is the canal, during the flying

The roads are closed during any validation/display which means you need to be in the enclosure already before the flying starts. So far this week the closures have been between 12:00-17:00, they re-open pretty quickly afterwards. Not sure of you can still gain access coming from Aldershot/Farnborough by using Laffan's Road, the road passed the Army Golf course/AAIB.

I would imagine you can still take Laffans Road via the Army Golf Club (which is now open) to avoid the closures on the Fleet Road and thereby still be able to gain access to and from Gate I. I haven't seen any notices suggesting this road is also closed, as unlike Fleet Road, none of its length is within the restricted zone. If not, then I guess you are 'held captive' within the Pegasus viewing area until the flying display is over, and visa versa.

Confirmation of the situation from the Police: Just to clarify when the road closures are in place you can still enter the Pegasus viewing area via Eelmoor bridge gate as usual, however the road from Fleet direction will be closed. You will need to travel from the A325 Aldershot / Farnborough Road. On exit you can only turn left back towards Aldershot. I have attached a link from the show website with the closure times and a map. The unfortunately does not clearly display the above information www.farnborough.com/public/Content/Traffic-Management/7_43/....Presumably they remove the barriers in the centre of the road to facilitate the right turn, or only allow alternate flow within the carriageway on the bridge side of the barrier.

I was told by security yesterday that the Pegasus area would be closed today could you confirm that this is still open or whether you have to enter before a certain time today?

'Word on the street' is that it is open as usual. Not sure why you received 'duff info.' yesterday from the security staff. They're normally fully aware of goings on.
