Personally, I think they should have used a -400F, taken the winglets off and painted fake windows on the fuselage, to replicate a -200. They could even had real air-to-air shots, rather than CGI.

That said, as -400Fs are still in use, it might have been more expensive and they would still have had to use a passenger version for the internal filming.
