Project Pegasus is a joint initiative by the National Crime Agency, the Association of Chief Police Officers and the UK Border Force. In the local area, the initiative is run by Hampshire Police. It seeks to engage with local aviation enthusiasts to act as additional pairs of eyes at airfields in and around the area. For more information, and details of how to get involved, please see the link below: www.hampshire.police.uk/about-us/who-we-are/specialist-teams/general-aviation-team/

Good Evening,
You may be able to help. We have received a report of two suspicious males seen between 17:15 and 17:30 hours on Wednesday 25th January 2017 at Hercules Way Farnborough. The two males were seen standing in the bushes against the perimeter fence of the airfield pointing at buildings across the airfield. They were described as speaking in a Middle East type language. The witness describes the two males as of Middle East appearance, both in their 30’s . One male was wearing grey baggy jogging bottoms and a dark hoodie. The second male was wearing a dark puffa jacket. The witness states that the area is often used by aircraft enthusiasts but these two males did not appeared to be interested in aircraft and were not using binoculars or note pads. The males were in a white 1990’s era 3 series BMW that is described as rattling and loud.
Many of you will know the area. It is the business park adjacent to the south side of the airfield where the DVLA test centre is. If you have seen the two males described or their vehicle please contact Hampshire Police control room on 101 quoting reference RMS 44170033980

Many thanks to the 'usual suspects' for arranging the alternative viewing arrangements during the airshow period. A top job as always!

TSoap box time I'm afraid. It has been noticed over the last few weeks people not necessarily all spotters have been parking their cars very close to the crash gate at Eelmoore bridge. On two occasions I have witnessed the airport firemen having to come to the gate and ask people to move offending vehicles. I know the signage on the gate and the entrance looks unused but it is a working crash gate where if necessary the emergency units will require access through it.
I have contacted the authorities within the airport about this matter and they are looking at improving signage etc.
So please do not park by any of the crash gates. They are in full use and the last thing we want to do is lose the privilege of parking at Eelmoore bridge.
Many thanks
