Belgium will be joining RAF100 celebrations at the 2018 Air Tattoo! The new F-16 Demo Team, headed up by Senior Captain Stefan Darte, call sign Vador, will be taking to the skies in his first Air Tattoo display! The Agusta A109 utility and light attack helicopter will also be flying for the first time in a number of years and an Embraer ERJ-135/145 will join the static display.
The static line up will also be seeing a second Hawker Hunter from HHA at RAF Scampton and an SL-2000 ultralight aircraft, built by Air Cadets.
Additionally, the Airbus A400M will be returning to the skies this year!

Update - 29/5/18
Three nations have confirmed their attendance at this year's Air Tattoo! Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway will be at the show with a large number of aircraft to boost this year's static display!
A total of five F-16s will be attending from the three nations along with two C-130 Hercules, an AH-64D Apache, CH-47D Chinook and Dornier Do-228.

Update - 31/5/18
Over 20 aircraft from RAF stations across the country will be heading to the Air Tattoo this summer. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the RAF, the list of aircraft includes some of the biggest, newest and most rarely seen from the RAF's fleet including the Phenom 100 trainer, Voyager tanker and RC-135W Airseeker.

Update - 5/6/18
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) have confirmed their attendance with a Lockheed C-130 Hercules on static display! Since its induction in the early 1960s, the C-130 Hercules has been the PAF's primary tactical transporter and is the 6th example of the type to confirm for this year's Air Tattoo.

Update - 11/6/18
The Ukrainians are returning for a second year running after a highly anticipated performance last year, which saw the Su-27 fly for the first time in many years at an Air Tattoo.
Also joining will be an Il-76MD transport aircraft from the 25th Transport Aviation Brigade, which visitors will be able to get close to in the static line up, along with the two-seat Su-27UB.

Really happy with this update, got to see them depart last year but missed their display as i only went on the Friday. That with a MiG21, i'd be happy now if they called time, but there's still 4 weeks to go and i'm wondering do they have anything else up their sleeves

Update 14/6/18 Over 20 more aircraft have confirmed, taking paricipation to 30 confirmed nations for this year's airshow! The Slovenian Air Force will return to the flying display with their PC-9M Swift and the static park has received a huge boost, including three more C-130 Hercules (making the total 10!), a raft of vintage civilian aircraft and more. - Austria confirms a C-130K -Civilian aircraft include: Tecnam P2002, - Ikarus C42 x2, Diamond DA20, Gnat T.1, OV-10B Bronco, SC-7 Skyvan, Hawker Fury, Royal Aircraft Factory Be-2, Avro Tutor, Spitfire Mk.Vc, Avro Anson, Pembroke C Mk.1, TB-20 Trinidad, RUAG Do-228 - The RAF adds a Hawk T.2 and Grob Prefect - The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan brings its regular C-130H - Slovenia Returns with the PC-9M Swift both flying and static, along with a static L410UVP - The USAF Reserve Command has confirmed an HC-130P/N from the 39th Rescue Squadron at Patrick Air Force Base, FL The latest list can be found below: www.airtattoo.com/airshow/aircraft/confirmed-aircraft

Further aircraft on static display from the Royal Air Force includes a second Airbus A400M and a BAE Systems 146 VIP transport aircraft. The French Navy will also have an Embraer Emb-121A 'Xingu' on static display.

The US Navy will be sending a P-8A Poseidon AND an E-6B Mercury, whilst QinetiQ will show off their Grob 120TP and H125 helicopter. Over 300 aircraft are now confirmed.

The Japanese Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) today confirmed their attendance at RIAT 2018 with the newly built Kawasaki C-2 transporter in the static lineup! This will be the aircraft’s first visit to the Air Tattoo and we are thankful to our friends in Japan for supporting the RAF’s 100th anniversary with this amazing addition!
We are now expecting over 30 ‘heavies’ at this year’s show – along with an amazing flying display including items like the Romanian MiG-21, Italian Frecce Tricolori and United States F-35 Heritage Flight. The confirmation of Japan also brings us to over 30 confirmed nations – a truly international celebration.

Update part deux: 6/7/18
F-35B Confirmed for Flypasts
Following its recent arrival in the UK, the Royal Air Force's newest stealth fighter jet, the Lightning II F-35B is scheduled to take part in flypasts on all three days of the Air Tattoo!
At around 2:15pm on Friday a special flypast featuring around 50 aircraft from the RAF will provide a stunning aerial celebration to mark 100 years of the Royal Air Force. This flypast will include many of the RAF's operational aircraft such as the new Lighting, Typhoons, Tornado GR4s, an A400M Atlas, the Red Arrows, plus Puma and Chinook helicopters, accompanied by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Lancaster, Spitfires and Hurricanes flying in formation.
The RAF will also stage RAF100 themed flypasts on both Saturday and Sunday and this will include a diamond nine of RAF Typhoons and a special '617 Squadron Tribute' of BBMF Lancaster, Tornado GR4 and the new Lightning jet.
