A reminder that this event takes place at Popham on Sunday. Fingers crossed for some sunshine!

Given good weather, this event usually attracts plenty of visiting aircraft.

OMG... if I'd known the Stinson was going to be there I'd have walked to see it! It has a very, very interesting history - well worth a Google.

Before that it was reported at Enstone, which also has a few interesting machines being worked on. We were shown the 'scaled-down' Spitfires on Friday, but there were a couple of Stearmans (N55180 and N9548H), and what we were told was a Waco, present in another hangar. There was also bits of a 'real' Spitfire (unidentified) in the 'Stearman' hangar. I haven't been able to trace the 'Waco' (if that's what it was).

Visited there in March and had a long chat with the guys there who were very welcoming and invited us into the hanger to talk about the inmates. Spitfire we were told is SL452/N2289J which is a former gate guard before being replaced by a plastic version and traveling over to the states, Waco had recently been imported (from Germany I think we were told) and was Nc12467. Hope this helps.
