Due to vast public demand (thanks 123456789 and andyp) I continue the saga. No F-35s yet - but lots to come! After El Centro we went to Tucson Arizona, a great location for aviation activity. First the Pima Air Museum, located across the road from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. A fantastic collection of aircraft including the mighty Convair B-36J - 6 a'turnin' and 4 a'burnin! After Pima we did two tours of the AMARG storage area at D-M, sitting on different sides of the bus each time! It's difficult to give an idea of the size of the storage area (around 4000 aircraft?) but here's a small section: D-M is also an active base with A-10s and C-130s and we spent a couple of hours at the end of the runway where we saw many local A-10Cs including: Then to Tucson International Airport, home of the Arizona ANG F-16s: The ANG also train Allied Air Forces including the Netherlands AF: There are other interesting military aircraft at TUS. Despite its civil registration, this Dash7 is operated by the US Army: That about it for Tucson. More to follow including those F-35s!

John
It's a flippin long way to go just to get the Dash 7 you missed the other month as it overflew our neck of the woods 😉
I love the B-36. My dad used to tell me about them flying over Yorkshire whilst they were on deployment at Burtonwood. The noise!
