FIA and RIAT aside, my highlights for 2016 were the Swiss Kamov Ka32 at Fairoaks and the dozen F-22s at Lakenheath.
Even so, I am sure some members are easily able to 'Trump' those. If so, let us know about your favourite sightings.
Wishing you a prosperous 2017.
Regards
Andy

2016 was my best Aviation wise for a number of years- highlight being my week long trip to Chicago and staying at the O’Hare Hilton for three days. Whilst in Chicago I also visited Wrigley Field the home of my baseball team and now World Series Champions the Chicago Cub’s. This was a bucket list trip and allowed me the opportunity to wear my Cubs Jacket, the last present my son bought for me before he died in 2013 of male breast cancer. Also without boring you too much in 2016 visited the following location’s and events Pidley (Balloons), Norwich, Flixton, Heathrow x 3, Luton, Aero Expo, Husbands Bosworth x 2, EMA x 2 plus The Aeropark, Farnborough, Popham (World Microlight) Kidlington, and Birmingham, LAA Rally, Tatenhill, Llangollen Balloon’s, Hooto Park Trust Open day, Cyprus (Larnaca) plus several visits to Manchester. Places that I did not visit were Liverpool, Barton and Chester which is strange for me, maybe in 2017. Bob

Although not a spotter anymore.....the sound of props sends me out of the man cave with gusto. AN12s are my love and again Ive seen a lot on airways this year with also one on the deck in SAL (UR-CCP) But I cant remember if it was this year or late last year (got old therefore one year carries into the next) a AN30 over my house doing an Open Skies visit to FAB must be my favourite.........what a beauty. ps 2 cruises soon, back to back.....both visiting SXM......The blond person says at least she can tan on the beach....great life isnt it. pps the bar at the end of the beach serves the most fantastic chips

The Bones at Fairford were a personal highlight for me as it seems like an age since i last saw one, i'd truly forgotten how loud they are on take off.
The Raptors deployment to Lakenheath and also Air Force One into Stansted (as it's the first time i've seen it).
Blackbushe airday was pretty tops too, nice to have a local airshow event and i think they did an absolutely awesome job with what they had...
