15th july 2018 5-6pm car parking a rip off so no regs got. 737 bbj etc Help regards tim The long stay is free for the first two hours, which allows a wander around the airfield for nowt. However, I tend to pay £4 or so to park at the Holiday Inn Express for up to an hour, and then head around to the long stay car park for the remainder of my visit for free, which never tend to last no more than a couple of hours.

Rubbish but hey ho you live and learn Regards tim Ps 1st visit for nearly 30 years so confused.com!! The long term parking is accessed via President Way, around the back of the airfield. That said, if you haven't visited for 30 years, the current back of the airfield is the old front, in terms of accessing the terminal area.

Unless you know where to go of course Regards tim Yes, I remember when the AVP was £1 per day for the car and driver + £1 per passenger. Times have changed, not always for the better; but at least Manchester has bonafide viewing facilities.

Never have any problems re Luton- go in the car park across the road from the Holiday Inn for the free half hour and either read the stuff off along the fence or if feeling energetic walk across the road and up the steps to get same- then around to the long term do a quick circuit getting the majority of the stuff parked up- then over the far side and get the biz over by the old Luton Aero Club hangar. Never stay more than half an hour- usually a quick stop en-route to another event. The AVP I remember it when it was over the far side- and I think it was free- £12 is a bit steep- but for the day if you have a full car can work out ok- only a few quid each. However you can go over the far side of the field and view for free over there- don't like leaving my car unattended though. Another one is park up by the pub and walk down. Again that's free. Thanks for putting the Luton Blog on Andy. Happy Days Bob

Can anyone help? I was at Luton on Friday the 14th of May and there was a Global Express parked down the side of the hangar where the Canadian airforce challenger was parked. It had a thick gold stripe down the tail. Any help would be really appreciated.
