Am I showing my age here. Whilst having not much better to do this evening, I happened across this video. Whilst not being a big Jackson 5 fan, I do like their track 'Skywriter' (well, I am an aviation enthusiast) In this video you see the Red Devils Islander G-AXDH, which I remember cursing, after my initial sighting, when I realised that I wouldn't see anything else if it was up for a prolongued period. Also when the Army had Bell 47 Sioux helicopters. I remember seeing them perform an aerial 'ballet' routine at a 1970s Army show like that seen in the video and being suitably impressed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf_cI5T0L1Y

I saw G-AXKK through to G-AXLA whom I believed were owned by Bristows, and operated from various locations including Redhill and Middle Wallop- G-AXLS I believe is still at Wallop with the Museum. Not sure of the dates seen but Redhill was a regular stop over for me when I visited Gatwick getting the stopper to Salfords Station and walking to the Airfield. Great memories though. Happy Days Bob
