l was tempted to visit for the first time in years after seeing the views and photos now possible from the short term car park. See the recent YouTube show here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3eTVrA0DD0Not surpringly there is no low cost parking option at the airport or at the nearby Luton Airport Parkway station car park where the tram to the airport is now operating. I left the car in the long term car park and took the courtesy bus into the terminal before walking back to the car park past the Holiday Inn and Signature stands/hangar after checking the views from the car park roof. The long term car park is free for the first hour, two hours £5, then a daily charge of...gulp... £35. From the long term car park you can see most of the Harrods FBO as well as the Wizz stands. From the short term car park roof you can see the Pond Signature stands and beyond plus unobstructed runway views. Two local enthusiasts were present and said no police problems viewing from the car park. After leaving the airport terminal area I drove to the Chlitern Green Road area where the usual viewing spots remain on the other side of the runway, albeit with a new-ish tall metal fence in place, extended since Covid, requiring steps to take photos over. Amongst those seen of interest to me: 9H-SPEED EMB 550 G-LAMO GX M-KING LRJ 40, M-WAFA Falcon 8X (in the hangar) N711RH G650 VT-BRS G550 N967BY EMB 550 VP-BTM G650 N44440 GX 7500 N4096Q G650 Busy with a steady flow of biz movements in between easyjet and Wizz flights.
