"This information must not be copied to any other forums or mailing lists."
I don't use this board very much but I would like to say how very sad I find that notice.......

Hi Bren
I expect the restriction on the circulation of the list comes from the person providing it rather than Dave.
The wider circulation of the list, and its general availability to all across the internet could have a number of implications:
1) jeopardise the position of the person that provides it, or their access to the information
2) the list becomes no longer available to you, me and others.
Dave's caveat is a gentle reminder that access to this information is a welcome bonus for those that are members or visit the group and should not be seen as a 'given'.
There are web boards, groups and social media groups that have restricted membership, or access. You may even be a member of one. Furthermore, some of their T&Cs are quite clear about the onward circulation of information and posts. I guess they too could be viewed by some as being equally 'sad'.
Regards
Andy

I'd like to add my support to Andy's comments.
There are people who enjoy are hobby and are fortunate enough to have access to this information and are willing to share it with the wider audience, for which we should all be very great full for.
However, I also know how quickly the circulation of this type of information can be withdrawn.
