On this day, 75 years ago, the Avro Lancaster took to the sky for the first time.
7,377 aircraft later, flown by countless brave airmen, its place in avaition history had been sealed. Thank goodness there are still 17(ish) examples remaining.
You never know, one day there may even be three airworthy examples.
