Are the RAF are going to use the same kit that as the NATO C-17 visitors have used, or is brand new equipment? If it's the latter, then I suppose more air forces may choose to use it, particularly if it's 'endorsed' by the RAF.
Speaking to one of the (ex RAF) maintenance guys who works on the airfield, he said the C-17 simulator equipment at FAB is equally useful for both ground crew and flight crew. It avoids the few real aircraft, that could otherwise be on missions, having to be kept on the deck to train the maintenance guys n gals.

A C-17 simulator will be the same for everyone, and probably generate no traffic as Brize Norton is only 60 miles away.
The NATO C-17 visits are with there being insufficient ,scheduled flights during COVID ,as were the Securite Civile aircraft.
