The exercise in Czech runs from 29 August to 20 September. Fairford is due to host B-52s (and also possibly B-2s based on the origin of the support flights that have already visited). The number of aircraft involved is not yet known. The following may be a useful link : lznamest.army.cz/ample-strike-2019

Would love to get up to Fairford to see the B2's but work commitments won't allow- cannot take the chance of going up when I do have the time and they have either gone out on a mission or are hangered.

Am planning to get across there during the next week or so, and chance my arm to see the three B-2s in action. If only they didn't need wrapping up in cotton wool, and could be dumped outside like the B-52s, it'd be a damn sight easier to get their serials, if nothing else. The following websites can be useful in guesstimating their likely movements: ffdmovements.blogspot.com/?m=1ukga.com/airfield/fairford/notamThe latter provides runway opening / closing times.

B-52 60-0009 arrived all the way from Mildenhall, after its prolonged stay due to a double engine change.
