G-VBAW Cameron A-400 was seen being inflated at 07.15 this morning at Chiltern Park Airfield (on the A4130 between Didcot and Wallingford). All red with 'Virgin Balloon Flights' titles. My first balloon I have potted in ages Mark

The Virgin machines used to be regular around the Guildford area, but I haven't seen one for ages.

It used to be that given a fine morning or evening, especially (but, by no means, exclusively) in the summer half of the year that I'd see hot air balloons in the A31 'hogs back' area. They would be a mix of private owner balloons or commercial 'Rides' balloons of Virgin or Adventure Balloons. Some days it would be three or four flying together. These days, like Andy, I think myself very lucky if I see one, if I bag it, then it's yay & double yay!!! So where have all the balloons gone?
There used to be events like Balloons Over Basingstoke, but that was scrapped several years ago. I don't know of any other meets in my area.

Yesterday 27th I had a Virgin (that would be nice!) Balloon o/t of Haslemere heading towards Hindhead between 08.00-09.00. Probably lifted off from Fernhurst. That's the second Balloon of the year. Both unidentified.
Phil I posted this earlier on in the year. It's this week end; Join us for the 28th Annual Wisborough Green Charity Hot-Air Balloon Festival, taking place this year over two days on Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September 2019. Lift offs are 06.00 and 18.00. Usually about 18 Balloons lifting from the green and adjacent field. Tight for parking around the green but plenty of space in adjacent field. No restrictions. The cricket clubhouse is open for bogs and liquid refreshment. Whenever I've been I've always enjoyed it and recommend. No further than a trip down to Popham.

After my suggestion that there had been a dearth of balloons of late, yesterday (27/8) I noted Adventure Balloon G-LLBE from Eelmoor at FAB, floating to the SW of the field.
