RAF Lakenheath (UK) may see again US based Strike Eagles on Monday 10 June 2019. Scramble Magazine received information that twelve F-15E Strike Eagles of the 4th Fighter Wing (squadron unit unknown) from Seymour Johnson AFB (NC) are scheduled to make a stop at RAF Lakenheath on their way to the Middle East.
It is reported that the Strike Eagles are expected late afternoon on Monday 10 June 2019. At this moment it is not known which unit is involved, but because of some reported maintenance issues with the current group of SJ Strike Eagles (335th Fighter Squadron 'Chiefs') in the Middle East the new ones might belong to the same unit. However, twelve aircraft seems quite a lot, so sending additional aircraft might also be related to the rising tension in the region.

Lakenheath update:
The Strike Eagles were airborne but for technical reasons did not cross the Atlantic. The fighters landed at Bangor IAP (ME), the tanker aircraft landed at Gander IAP (Newfoundland and Labrador).
Most probably looking at a 24 hour delay.
Sounds like the replacements may be as crocked as the aircraft they're supposed to be replacing 😉

Another batch of eastbound SJ F-15S has arrived 14/6/19
89-0471 89-0492 '4 OG' 89-0498
By my reckoning, there should be 28 SJ machines heading back west through LKZ in October.
But what are the chances of them (and the tanker support) all being serviceable?
