Soap box time I'm afraid. It has been noticed over the last few weeks people not necessarily all spotters have been parking their cars very close to the crash gate at Eelmoore bridge. On two occasions I have witnessed the airport firemen having to come to the gate and ask people to move offending vehicles. I know the signage on the gate and the entrance looks unused but it is a working crash gate where if necessary the emergency units will require access through it.
I have contacted the authorities within the airport about this matter and they are looking at improving signage etc.
So please do not park by any of the crash gates. They are in full use and the last thing we want to do is lose the privilege of parking at Eelmoore bridge.
Many thanks Ken

Sadly, there are some puddings about.
I am sure that if their holiday flight was in peril, they might expect everyone to be a tad more thoughtful.
