Noted from the layby overlooking fire training rig ZA712/AT ZK555/-
Both hovering around, nearby were the following:
0-01671 fuselage with rear rotor housing ? Fuselage without rear rotor housing ex US?
A few weeks ago I checked and saw the centre fuse of the ex Argentinian machine behind the hanger. You could see it from outside through the trees and could just make out where the yellow band was around the fuselage. Did not check it today though.

Your other a/c sat out in the open is 89-00159, however it is fitted with the damaged cockpit section from ZA671. 159's cockpit has been used in 671's rebuild.

Thanks blackdog, just logging up and noticed that 677 not 671 was reported at Odiham previously. Did I mispole? I know I had to read it off quickly as I briefly blocked the lane I was in and a car was coming!

Yep, that was indeed a mispole. 0-1677 is what you saw.

Someone has told me it is 01677 but ADQ says it is marked 01671, so both right then. The rear rotor pylon, where I read off 0-01671 from, is marked "scrap" in red, so perhaps that was swapped some time ago.

Ah yes I see the confusion now. The data stencilled behind the cockpit says 0-1677. I'd forgotten that the aft pylon doesn't match. Sorry if I jumbled things further. Pete.

No worries Pete, thought I had gone mad as the last three on the port side of the pylon are in white so easily read off, but I was in a rush to keep the track / road clear.

Does anyone know if the ex US CH-47s are still outside?
I was wondering whether it was worth popping in on the way to making a long overdue visit to Lasham.
