My 'starter for ten':
C175 G-AROC circa early-mid 1970s
Surely there'll be some slightly more exotic aircraft types out there?

Cessna 206 G-AYJU from Blackbushe in 1979 taking off from runway 01. Then from ages 13-15 we did a yearly school trip option to WLAC at White Waltham and a flight in a PA28. Rob

I've just moved this from the Blackbushe thread where it seemed to be ignored, so here is the story of the first time I left terra firma. My first ever flight was from Blackbushe and was in February 1973 and the trusty steed was PA28 G-AXSH, courtesy of an officer from the air cadet squadron at the time. I was to have another go in *SH later that year. A few others that I remember seeing at 'the bushe' that day were A61s G-ARZT, AYDW; Auster G-AIGT; Tipsy Junior G-AMVP (in a hanger as we taxied down, must have been a 08 departure) WA41 G-ATZS (Still going strong & seen at Popham a few years ago) and PA28 G-BAHE. Other aircraft that I've flown from Blackbushe in are: 1974 Ce172 G-AWEG 1979 Ce150 G-BBNX (may have been *NY) 1979 Ce 206 G-BGWR 1991 DH89 G-AIYR 2000 Ce172 G-SEXI (BBS-GWD-SHM & ret) 2000 Ce150 G-ATEF (BBS-Thruxton & ret) The first of many flights in *EF. Most recent being last year. Nice to see her fly over my house recently.

My first flight was at the PFA Rallye at Leicester East in G-AWMD Jodel D11. I cant say I really appreciated the novelty of flying in a two seat homebuilt taildragger with a skid at the time, and quite a contrast to my last flight in N4053M Cirrus last year at Sywell.

My first flight was in a Skyways HS 748(can't remember reg) to the Paris airshow from Lympne(Kent) to Beauvais. A week later that aircraft went off the end of the runway and flipped upsidedown.
