LOOKOUT: BIGGIN HILL COFFEE SHOP TO OPEN THIS SUMMER
Biggin Hill’s new coffee shop, The Lookout, is due to open in the next week or so we are just adding the finishing touches. Local residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake while watching the planes at the Airport.
The Lookout is located at the southern end of the runway providing unrivalled views of the aircraft. Visitors will be able to watch the planes either from inside the new coffee shop or from the generous outside seating area.
Will Curtis, Managing Director of Biggin Hill says:
“We get a lot of people who come to watch the planes take off and land and over the years many people have suggested we should open a coffee shop. We are delighted that we have now been able to do this.
“Biggin Hill is a key part of the local community and we want to create somewhere residents and visitors can come to watch the fantastic aircraft that fly here.
“It is also another small step in creating more jobs for the local community. All four new staff we have taken on to help run The Lookout have all been hired locally. We want this to become a community hub, as well as an attraction for visitors, and we look forward to welcoming our first guests shortly”.
The Lookout will be opened next week and will offer Costa Coffee as well as sandwiches, cakes and crisps.
