An unidentified customer has agreed to take 100 additional Boeing 737 Max aircraft, the airframer announced at the Farnborough air show.
Boeing did not detail the variants involved, but says the deal has a list-price value of $11.7 billion.
It notes that the purchase is not yet finalised.
This agreement is the latest in a series of undisclosed customer announcements made during the show. Boeing has now secured some 193 commitments for Max aircraft at Farnborough from five unidentified parties, while Airbus has secured agreements for more than 200 aircraft on the same basis.
Airbus commercial chief Eric Schulz said earlier during air show that government sensitivity over trade relationships, particularly in Asia, is responsible for the high number of orders being attributed to undisclosed customers.
