A "leading global lessor" has signed a memorandum of understanding for 80 Airbus A320neo-family jets during the Farnborough air show, the manufacturer has announced, without disclosing the customer's identity.
The aircraft have a list-price value of $890 million.
Engine selection will be made at a later date, adds Airbus.
The manufacturer says that with more than 6,100 orders received from over 100 customers, the A320neo family has captured some 60% of the narrowbody market.

Airbus has revealed a new memorandum of understanding for 100 A320neo-family jets, without identifying the customer.
However, the airframer does indicate that the deal would add to the customer's "existing orders for the type".
The 100 aircraft comprise 75 A320neos and 25 A321neos.
Engine selection will be made at a later date, says Airbus.
