It is reported that the 18 'SJ' F-15Es that took most of October 2017 to transit east (due to serviceability issues) are heading back to North Carolina via Lakenheath over the next few days.
As before, it is rumoured that three batches of 6 are due Sat (7/4), Sun (8/4) and Mon (9/4).
Whether the plan comes to fruition is anyone's guess.

The first batch duly arrived today (7/4) in the form of:
86-0187 'SJ' y 87-0177 'SJ' y 88-1682 'SJ' y 88-1688 'SJ' y 89-0488 'SJ' y (marked 336FS) 89-0492 'SJ' y (marked 4OG)
Tomorrow (8/4) is likely to be a rest day, so with the possibility of another 6 arriving on (8/4), and the final 6 on 9/4, Monday may be the best day to catch all 18 in one hit!

Given the time it took for them to transit in the opposite direction, lo and behold, the second wave scrubbed for today. Therefore, perhaps it and the subsequent wave will now turn up en masses tomorrow, or perhaps more likely, the last wave will also slip 24 hours, so as not to stretch the tanker force too much (overly optimistic?)
I guess, only time will tell.

Today, 11/4, the following departed shortly before midday:

... and the following departed a little while later:
88-1706 SJ 89-0495 SJ 87-0181 SJ 87-0176 SJ
I understand 'the stragglers' were due at around 1900, although as yet, I'm not sure they made it.
Other notable visitors included a Dyess-based C-130J 08-3176 and Oregon ANG F-15C 84-0021.
