So looks like nothing will get planned- maybe go to Popham and Expo- but will be giving RIAT and Radley a miss. The LAA have been asking for possible venues for next year’s rally and have also said they are considering moving it back to July- so it’s a case of watch this space. Happy Days Bob

Well it’s getting dark on Tuesday 31st of January so I guess that’s the month over with but despite indifferent weather which caused 7 nil return days, and 7 days when on one hit the books, I still managed a respectable 73 for the month. I managed four visits out to the LPL General Aviation during the month where 1, 2, 2, and Nil were added to the book. So the remainder were logged from the window of my den at home. I’ll won’t list what I saw but have broken it down into types:- A320 x 2, A321 x 5, A330 x 4, A350 x 3 737 x 10, 777 x 2, 787 x 9 E195 x 1 Prop A/L x 5, Light/Helicopters x 4, Biz-Prop x 1, Biz x 23 Mil x 4 That’s it for the January roll on the light nights. Well the last day in February and it is cloudy as I type this-and unless something miraculous happens-it looks like my quite respectable 94 in the book for the month will be my lot. Managed two visits to the LPL General Aviation area during the month, and we had two days in North Yorkshire again staying at the Gisborough Hall Hotel which included a pre-arranged visit to Fishburn. My 94 was broken down into the following:- A220= 04 A320/321=15 A330=06 A350=04 ATR=02 B737=08 767=01 777=01 787=06 Biz Jets=22 Biz-Prop=02 CRJ1000=01 E190=01 E195=01 GA=09 Heli=04 Mil=07 Highlights for the month were the two Iberia A350’s which came into LPL to drop off and pick up the Real Madrid team for their Champions League game at Anfield- (EC-NXC & EC-NXE) and at Fishburn finally catching up after almost 60 years of spotting with the Tawney Owl G-APWU a massive gap filler in my BICR. The mornings and evenings are starting to get lighter- so hopefully a better report for March fingers crossed. Enjoy the Hobby Bob

Grand National Day Saturday 15th April proved to be a bumper day for me with a total of 20 hitting the books in addition to the biz jets OTT which I mentioned in previous posts, President Biden entourage returning to the States and Aintree helicopter movements certainly helped:- Aintree movements:- A109’s G-RYFF, G-KLNH, G-MSVO, AS355 G-NMCF MD600 N641LB USAF:- C17’s 06-6165, 07-7184, 08-8191 KC135R 57-2605 Inbound LPL:- G-SMBA- C210, N220AD- Sr22 9H-WBQ and WZR A320’s Wizz Malta OTT Airliners:- N572DZ A350 Delta, TF-PPF A320N Play, TC-SOV 737 Sun Express Additional Biz:- G-MCEN E550 Praetor and N840QS C700 Long Glorious wall to wall blue skies helped till about 16:00 when it clouded over- could have made more but missed the odd one due to having other matters to deal with. Sunday and the blue skies have gone- and it is wall to wall gloom- but on a positive note I have tested negative. Happy Days Bob
