2/6/18
My highlight was Corbex B733 YR-CBK OTT and a few of the Farnborough inbounds. Car-less, and busy with a cycling event, my opportunities were a tad limited. Thank goodness for clear skies!

After getting back from the pictures yesterday evening saw Primera A321 OY-PAC heading Stateside not trailing and at 13:30 today Monday after work in a nice bit of blue stuff recently delivered Qatar 777 A7-BES was seen also heading over the pond and trailing. I also saw the Meridiana 767 I-AIGG on finals to Rw 27 at LPL, but not needed. Going to mow the lawn now, then a bit of clerical updating some of my registers. Happy Days Bob

A hattrick of scrapes have hit the book one before and two since mowing the lawn- they are:- EI-GBI- 737-8 NAS DUB-CPH x LN-NIF LY-VEA- A321 TCX I/b MAN x G-OZBI G-DRTD- 737-8 737-8 Jet 2 I/b MAN ex EI-RUO I went from number crunching to frames only a number of years ago- but when I realised the amount of registrations I missed out on I have gone back to scrapes etc. Still in the process of checking what reg's I have seen going through my old log books etc. Bob

Although I went to Fairoaks to try to catch B200 EC-JGB, I ended up coming away with seeing another of the type, N61AY. A nice little surprise, on what was a pretty sparse day for sightings.

Nothing to report for yesterday and looking at the weather the same could go for today unless I decide to take a trip down the local for F-GGGA C550. Made D-IAWU CJ1 on the 3rd though, a frame for me, de-registered as G-CJAD in 2012 just before I started collecting.

New service into LPL (Speke)- Found on the Liverpool Airport website:- Scandinavia’s largest regional airline Widerøe has today announced that it is to start operating a twice weekly service between Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) and Bergen in Norway. The new service will commence on 17th August 2018 with departures on Mondays and Fridays with connections available in Bergen to other Scandinavian cities including Oslo and Helsinki. Widerøe will use their 114 seat Embraer E190-E2 jet aircraft on the route, LN-WEA which will be the first time this new generation jet aircraft will have operated to a UK regional airport.
